Respecting disease among Hongkong Sin the great increase of Venereal disease in H.M. Naval Force at Hongkong.

I have the honor to submit the enclosed letter, from the Principal Medical Officer of the "Melville Hospital ship, for your consideration, and hope you will take steps to remedy the evil complained of, as it is a matter of the most serious consequence to the efficiency of the Naval Force at this place.
